This past weekend, 7 WT students competed at ISSMA and received medals. Extra congratulations goes to Aliza Merritt and Yancey Scott who both received golds for a Group I solo and will be competing at State. Aubrey Myers also received a perfect score in Group II.

Today our 8th graders participated in hands-on activities with high school mentors at Liberty Middle School and learned about future opportunities in Career and Technical Education.
The Washington Township High School Hall of Fame Selection Committee has announced their inductees for the Class of 2026 class which includes Greg Fadell (WTHS Class of 2012) and former WTHS Varsity Baseball Coach, Randy Roberts.
Nominees were submitted by the general public and then voted on by the selection committee. To become eligible for the WTHS Hall of Fame, nominees had to have been an alum of Washington Township High School. They also had to display accomplishments in one or more of the following categories: athletics, honors, professional/entrepreneur/industrial, science/technology, military/community service or as a retired WT faculty/staff/coach.

This week in Biomedical Science, we completed an exciting two-day laboratory focused on phlebotomy techniques. Students had the opportunity to learn about proper procedures for drawing blood from the arm, including safety protocols, anatomy of veins, and correct handling of equipment. It became clear that many students gained confidence and a deeper understanding of clinical laboratory procedures over the two days.
A special thank you to Mrs. Michaels for coming in and sharing her expertise! Her support made this experience especially valuable, and we truly appreciate the time and effort she put into working with our students.

Exploring Engineering at Purdue invites high school juniors and their parents/guardians to learn more about Purdue Engineering through sessions with various majors and programs, a tour of the West Lafayette campus or residence halls, and opportunities to network with current students and staff.
The event will take place on Monday, April 20, 2026, giving prospective students an authentic look at campus life. We will also offer an optional meet‑and‑greet on Sunday, April 19, featuring extended opportunities to speak directly with engineering majors, programs, and student organizations.
Registration is required and can be completed at engineering.purdue.edu/WiE under the “Exploring Engineering” tab. A flyer and QR code are included for easy access to the event webpage.
