Indiana’s new bell-to-bell cell phone law is now in effect for the 2026-27 school year. Students' cell phones, smartwatches, and other personal electronic devices must be powered off, stored, and inaccessible during the school day.

The 2026 yearbooks arrived at school today. They will be available for pick up during Locker Jamboree in Mrs. Campbell's room (E109) from 2-3 pm on Monday, August 10. If you graduated, your yearbook should have been mailed to your home address you provided. If you don't come to locker jamboree, yearbooks will be handed out during the first few days of school. If you have moved schools, please contact me so we can arrange a time for you to pick it up. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you!

We know attendance can feel confusing, and we want to help make it easier to understand.
Indiana law (SEA 282) now requires all absences—including excused ones—to be counted in a student’s overall attendance record. But don’t worry: East Porter is committed to partnering with families early to support strong attendance habits.
