Congratulations to the WTHS Science and Social Studies Academic Teams as they qualified for the Indiana Academic Super Bowl-Sr. Division State competition on Saturday, May 10th at Purdue University in West Lafayette.
The Science Academic Team placed 4th in the state to qualify for the state competition with a score of 21 out of 25. The Science Team consists of Madalyn Richardson, Camden Bell, Breanna Flint, Addison Peres, Adalyn Phegley, Oliver Rodd, and Kirk VarnHagen.
The Social Studies Academic Team placed 5th in the state to qualify for the state competition with a score of 16 out of 25. The Social Studies Team consists of Drew Gschwind, Alex Lutin, Liam Powell and Addison
The WTHS Academic Teams competed in the Area Contest at Wheeler High School with many strong showings. The English team placed first and qualified for the Class 4 State Competition at Purdue University on Saturday, May 9th. English Team members were Bre Flint, Christian Lutin and Mary Scott. Our Math Team placed first. Our Math team members were Abby Vermillion, Logan Hughes, Ella Kodiced and Oliver Rodd. Our Science Team also placed first. Science team members were Bre Flint, Logan Hughes, Addison Peres and Wyatt Mottl. Our Social Studies Team placed 3rd. The Social Studies Team consisted of Addison Peres, Natalie Lugar, Karson Kish and Liam Powell. Our Fine Arts team placed Second. Our Fine Arts team members are Jasmine Estrada-Bateman, Annalese De Dios, Karson Kish, Natalie Lugar and Haleigh Peres. ON YOU SENATORS!!
