Washington Township Middle School's Team Senator participated in the LaPorte Area Academic Superbowl on Saturday.
Team Senator came away with Class 4 subject area wins and a runner-up finish coupled with 2 Regional subject area victories.
The Science Team of Charlie Peters, Porter Wilks and Haleigh Peres blasted through the all competition with a score of 21/25 to win both class 4 and the LaPorte Regional titles.
The Social Studies team of Bronx Niloff, Marleyna Calipari and Luke Freyenberger slowly pulled away from the competition to finish a score of 20 out of 25 to not only win Class 4, but the entire LaPorte Regional on the second tie-breaker.
The English Team of Mary Scott, Anna Drake and Viola Bane went wire to wire to win a great score of 21 out of 25 and capture the crown in class 4.
The Interdisciplinary Team of Mary Scott, Bronx Niloff, Haleigh Peres and Lily Kooy took the victory in Class 4 with a score of 17/25
The Mathematics team of Haleigh Peres, Lily Kooy and Willy Wilks performed admirably but, lost on a tie-breaker to our southern campus.
