Junior Achievement of Chicago’s Northwest Indiana Division in
partnership with East Porter County School Corporation is
bringing JA Town to the eighth grade students of
Kouts, Morgan Township, and Washington Township.
What is JA Town?
JA Town is a budgeting simulation experience where
students will be an adult for a day. In the classroom,
they have been learning about careers, needs versus
wants, and personal values. At JA Town, they will put
what they have been learning into action!
Students will be assigned a career, an income, and at
JA Town, they will go from station to station making
financial decisions and paying their bills. The stations
represent budgeting categories (savings, food,
housing, transportation, etc.) and we need you to
help us staff those stations. You will help guide
students through their choices and support them in
making smart financial decisions.
