WTMS Academic Team wins the 18th Annual WTMS Academic Invitational With English, Science and Social Studies placing first and Interdisciplinary Team placing 2nd. It is Team Senator's 12th team championship, fifth consecutive and 11th team title out of the last 12 invitationals held. ON YOU SENATORS!!

Congratulations to our DECA chapter on a very successful state conference. Making it on stage at finals were Gunnar Casbon, Josh Sisson, Nicholas Sears, Shepherd Scott, Jacy Schmidgall, Josie Whitcomb, and Taylor Frazier.
What a weekend we had in Indy with Key Clubs from across the state! Paige Hein named the next Governor of Indiana Key Club, Jason Bunag named Lt. Governor of the Duneland District, Mrs. Rea named Distinguished Faculty Advisor Award and Outstanding Officer Awards won by WT Key Club members!
On Saturday, February 25, the combined Washington Township/Morgan Township Mock Trial Team competed in the Regional Mock Trial Competition held at the federal courthouse in Hammond. The students came home with two Best Attorney awards, Joshua Reeder of WT, and two Best Witness awards, Jacy Schmidgall of WT.
Congratulations to our Senior Academic Super Bowl Teams for placing 3rd overall at yesterday’s PNW Invitational. Our Social Studies team received 2nd place in their category. The Social Studies team included Drew Gschwind, Gunnar Casbon and Alex Lutin. The big champion of the night was our Fine Arts team who placed 1st. The Fine Arts team includes Emma Howard and Adysen Straw. Great job team!
Part of the Fish Unit in Biology II (Ivy Tech-Dual Credit) involves a fish dissection. It's so fun to watch the excitement as students see how much of the fish anatomy is similar to that of a human!

Shepherd Scott is the DECA State Champion in the Quick Serve Restaurant Management event and Gunnar Casbon finished third in the state in the Personal Financial Literacy event. Both will qualified at the International competition in April.
